Stylised trees, engraved on both sides and filled with epoxy resin, are the motif of this two-sided walnut backgammon set (nardi). The board is a classic model carved from one piece of walnut and measures 60 cm (about 24 in), a generous size for two players.
Trees bring a piece of the outdoors to the games table, and the resin-filled engraving keeps their outlines crisp against the wood. The aim of the game is simple: each player has fifteen checkers, and whoever bears them all off first wins.
