About Mount Ararat Backgammon Sets
Backgammon sets featuring our signature, copyrighted Mount Ararat (Masis) outline — the hallmark of the Hrachya Ohanyan workshop. Hand-carved wooden nardi boards that carry a symbol of Armenian heritage.
Mount Ararat appears in many forms across this collection: as the contour of the board itself, carved in relief, or combined with ornaments and other Armenian motifs, in walnut, beech and epoxy resin versions. These boards are a meaningful gift for Armenian families around the world and for anyone who loves a game with a story.
How to choose
- Wood: walnut offers a deep, warm tone; beech is lighter and shows the carving crisply.
- Size: 60 cm boards are the classic full size; smaller boards are easier to carry and store.
- Design: pick the outline alone for a clean look, or a combination with ornaments for richer carving.
