- 25-year guarantee certificate
Equally suited to a study, a den or a family games table, this 60 cm (about 24 in) backgammon set (nardi) pairs an engraved eagle with our copyrighted outline of Mount Ararat. Its board is carved from a single piece of beech, a pale wood with a fine, even texture, and the back is given over to checkers.
The eagle is regarded as a powerful and majestic bird, and many countries show it in their coats of arms, Armenia among them, where an eagle and a lion hold the shield. Mount Ararat overlooks the Ararat plain, where the monastery of Khor Virap stands within sight of it. The outline was drawn by Hrachya Ohanyan; it is copyrighted and has appeared on our work since 2000.
