On this green epoxy pomegranate tree backgammon set (nardi), the fruit that symbolises abundance and well-being grows into a whole tree, engraved on one side of the board and filled with green resin. The set measures 50 cm (about 20 in) and is a classic model carved from a single piece of solid wood.
Green resin set into the carving lets the tree stand out clearly against the wood. At 50 cm across, the board opens comfortably on a dining table or a desk without taking over the room, and its back is dedicated to draughts for evenings when someone prefers a different game.
