- 25-year guarantee certificate
With sides of 50 cm (about 20 in), this classic chess set has room for an expanded playing field and, framing it, a white floral scroll border. Inside that frame lie the sixty-four squares of an eight-by-eight field, and the board is carved in one piece from beech wood.
Sixteen pieces a side, made of beech and walnut, line up on the expanded field, and the carved letters and numbers beside it let a game from a book be followed move by move. A set of this size also suits a small chess evening at home, with the next pair of players already queuing for the board.
