- 25-year guarantee certificate
This classic chess set suits two players facing each other across a coffee table in the living room. Its 40 cm (about 16 in) board, carved from a single piece of beech, has an expanded playing field, so the squares claim most of the surface and the frame stays modest.
For someone moving up from a cardboard travel set, it makes a first proper wooden board; for an experienced player, it is a board for daily games and for going over positions from a book. The carved letters and numbers around the grid make both easier, since every square can be named at a glance.
