With a span of 60 cm (about 24 in), this two-sided beech backgammon set (nardi) carries stylised autumn leaves in epoxy resin on both of its sides. The board is cut from one piece of beech, and each leaf form is engraved into it and then filled with the resin.
Leaves are a motif with a season attached, and these belong to autumn, when the evenings draw in and games move back indoors. The leaf design is a classic model of our workshop. In a house that changes its cushions and table linen with the seasons, this is the board for the autumn months.
