With morning coffee at the weekend, or late in the evening when the house is quiet, this epoxy pomegranate tree backgammon set (nardi) brings two players to the table. Carved from one piece of beech, it measures 60 cm (about 24 in) and belongs to the classic models of our workshop.
On one side, the engraved pomegranate tree is filled with colourful epoxy resin, which settles into the carved recesses and gives the picture its colour. Backgammon is widely considered one of the oldest board games in the world, and when a round is over, the board can be turned over for a game of draughts on its back.
