Life, prosperity, abundance and well-being are the meanings Armenian tradition gives the pomegranate, and this handmade wooden pomegranate carries them at a height of 23 cm, with a diameter of 11 cm. The fruit is carved from beech and then painted red.
Its seeds appear on one side, made of coloured corn kernels, while the rest is smooth and red. Tradition also links the pomegranate with fertility, and it has long been given as a present and kept as a decoration in the home. Its height suits a mantelpiece or the top of a piano, where it can be seen from across the room.
