Walnut carves well, and this wooden wolf sculpture is cut by hand from a single piece of it. The work on it is done by hand alone, and the finished animal measures 38 x 14 x 17 cm.
The natural grain and colour stay visible on the finished wolf, and because no two pieces of walnut grow alike, each wolf has its own play of grain. It suits a study with dark furniture, a hallway console or a glass cabinet of wildlife carvings, and at this size it can share a shelf with books without crowding them.
