This wooden elephant sculpture is made of apricot wood: the animal is hand-carved from a single piece, and metal pieces are combined with the carving. The entire piece is handmade, and at 24 x 9 x 21 cm it sits easily on a bookshelf, a sideboard or a coffee table.
Grain and colour are those of the apricot wood itself and change from piece to piece, so this elephant has an appearance all its own. Among travel souvenirs, framed photographs or other animal figures, the carved wood and its metal pieces stand out without demanding much space, and the sculpture is as much at home in a guest room as in a study.
