Beehive shapes, simplified into stylised forms, are the motif of this 60 cm (about 24 in) two-sided epoxy backgammon set (nardi). They are engraved on both sides, with epoxy resin filling every engraved hive. The motif means what it shows: the hive, home of a bee colony, reduced to its outline.
A single piece of solid wood is carved to form the board, and the set belongs to our workshop’s classic range. Between games it looks at home on a kitchen dresser or in a garden room, where a beehive motif feels in its element.
