- 25-year guarantee certificate
This dark version of the pomegranate and grapes backgammon set (nardi) has an engraving on one side that combines the two fruits with a woven lattice and a braid motif. Together they represent life, prosperity, abundance and well-being. The board is a classic model, 60 cm (about 24 in) across and carved from one piece of beech.
In the Armenian highlands, grapes have been turned into wine since very early times, which gives the second fruit of the engraving its own story. The woven lattice and the braid add pattern to the motif, and once the backgammon is put away, the flip side of the board hosts a game of checkers.
