Furniture and game board in one, this eternity sign backgammon (nardi) table belongs to our classic models and is made from one piece of beech, 60 x 60 x 63 cm in size (about 24 in). Engraved on it, the eternity sign expresses eternal life and Armenian national identity, so the table brings a piece of Armenian symbolism into the room where it stands.
Backgammon is regarded as one of the world’s oldest games, and it is as much a test of thinking as of luck: an adaptable mind, careful working-out of the moves ahead and quick decisions all matter here. As a table in its own right, it needs no dining table to be cleared before a match and can stay set up in a corner of the living room between games.
