Made by hand from beech wood, this 2-litre wooden barrel is intended for storing and ageing alcoholic drinks. It takes wine as well as whisky, brandy and other spirits, and its classic rustic design follows the old custom of keeping a drink in wood until it is ready to be poured.
Left empty, it still has a place as decoration in a kitchen or dining room with a country feel; filled, it becomes a working part of a home bar. Two litres give enough room for a favourite brandy or for a wine set aside for a family occasion, kept the traditional way.
