Two materials go into this completely handcrafted horse sculpture: bronze and Indian marble. Its title, “Stubborn Horse”, gives the animal a character of its own, and at 14 x 9 x 17 cm the piece has enough presence for a sideboard, a hall console or a broad bookshelf.
The warmth of the bronze meets the natural coolness of the marble, while the name turns the piece into a gift with a wink – for a determined friend, a strong-willed teenager or a rider with a sense of humour. On an office shelf it makes a good-natured nod to persistence.
