A classic, easy-to-read design defines these 32 chess pieces: every figure, from king to pawn, can be recognised at a glance. The set is made of beech and walnut wood, with velvet fabric on the underside of each piece to protect the board.
Split between the two sides, the set gives each player the full sixteen pieces that chess requires. The same clarity suits everyday games and display alike, with the figures left standing on the board between matches, and it makes the set a dependable replacement for a worn or incomplete one, or an upgrade for an existing chessboard.
