Linden wood is the material of this handcrafted crocodile sculpture, a large carving that measures 111 x 60 x 20 cm. Linden has an even, fine grain, and carvers have long valued it for detailed work, which shows here in the carefully worked form of the animal.
Its finish is natural and a little rustic, which keeps the colour of the linden in view. A carving of this size needs room around it and looks its best where the whole piece can be taken in at a glance, in a spacious living room, a hall or a large office.
