With a diameter of 3.5 cm, these classic wooden chess pieces are proportioned for a 50 x 50 x 3 cm board, a generous size for home play. They are made of beech and walnut wood, and each one has velvet fabric on its opposite side.
A board of this size suits a living-room coffee table or a dedicated games table, where the figures can stay in place between sessions. The classic shapes make every piece easy to identify mid-game, and thanks to the velvet the set can be left standing on the board without marking it.
