Players who like their backgammon (nardi) board to look as considered as the game itself can choose this set of checkers, each carrying an ornamental motif cast from aluminium–zinc alloy and bronze. The motif is fixed to a wooden base, and velvet fabric covers the bottom of every piece.
Laid out on a board that lives on a coffee table or a games shelf, the checkers show their decoration even when nobody is playing. At 3 cm across, they are easy to pick up and move from point to point, and the combination of wood and metal sets them apart from ordinary wooden checkers.
