Coat of Arms of Armenia Backgammon Table, 60 cm

This classic table-backgammon is made from one piece of beech wood. The Coat of Arms of Armenia, which is a rendition of the emblem of the First Republic of Armenia (1918-1920), is carved on one side of the backgammon.  The coats of arm of the four royal dynasties of historic Armenia are depicted at the center of this national emblem. All around the playing field and the legs of the table are covered with similar engraved patterns.  

This model is completely handcrafted. It is varnished. The hinges and locks are made of cast bronze. The entire playing field is hand carved of one piece of wood.

The set includes:

• 32 playing pieces, made of beech and walnut wood, with velvet fabric applied to bottom of each piece,
• Box made of plywood.

Backgammon is considered one of the oldest games in the world. It is a logical game where a flexible mind, accurate calculation of the sequence of steps and the ability to quickly make decisions are valued.
