The board materials and carvings were clearly selected and executed to a very high standard. It came wrapped very safely in thick bubble wrap, inside of a very attractive custom wood, dovetailed crate box with vendor wood burned logo. The packing is perfect as a gift wrapping. It came safe with no damage or defects. I paid for the expedited shipping and was well worth it as it arrived within 11 days from Armenia to USA. Hrachya Ohanyan exceeded all of my expectations. Beautiful and has a nice crisp, natural wood smell. It's hard to find anything not make of plastic or reconstituted "wood" these days. This set makes playing chess more intriguing. The personalized engraving was a nice touch, too.
