This handmade two-sided backgammon set (nardi) is carved from a single piece of beech wood, with a 60 cm board, featuring the pagan temple of Garni and the Geghard monastery complex.
The pagan temple of Garni, the only one still standing in Armenia and traditionally dated to 77 AD, is engraved on one side. The monastery complex of Geghard, named after the Holy Spear said to have been kept there for 500 years, is engraved on one side.
Both sides of the board are engraved.
