Apricot wood, carved by hand from a single piece, and metal pieces combined with it form this wooden peacock sculpture. Wholly handcrafted, it measures 39 x 9 x 28 cm and is slim enough for a windowsill or a narrow shelf.
Every piece of apricot wood has its own grain and colouring, and both remain visible on the finished bird, so each peacock stands apart from the others. On a mantelpiece among candlesticks, in a glass cabinet beside other birds or on a bookshelf in a study, the mix of carved wood and metal catches the eye without needing much room.
