A girl and an antelope share this hand-carved linden sculpture, and both are worked from the same single piece of wood. Titled “Girl with Antelope”, it measures 24 x 13 x 73 cm and is carved and completed entirely by hand.
Because the two figures come from one piece of linden, the grain runs through girl and animal alike, and its pattern and colour change from one carving to the next. On a sideboard, a broad window ledge or a low plinth in the hall, the pair can be enjoyed at close range, and it suits a living room as well as a quiet bedroom.
