This handmade backgammon set (nardi) is carved from a single piece of walnut wood, with a 60 cm board, featuring the Etchmiadzin Cathedral and hornbeam wood inlay (incrustation).
The Cathedral of Etchmiadzin, the first Christian cathedral of ancient Armenia and one of the oldest cathedrals in the world, is engraved on the board. Hornbeam wood incrustation (inlay) adds a contrasting detail to the walnut.
The reverse side is laid out for checkers (draughts).
