It is carved from one piece of beech wood, engraved with that ornamental braid and decorated with the copyrighted outline of the mountain. Letters and numbers cast in bronze mark the chessboard.

On a clear day Mount Ararat can be made out from Yerevan. Backgammon, regarded as one of the oldest of all games, mixes chance and skill: the roll decides what is possible, while flexible thinking, sound calculation and quick decisions decide what happens next. Chess, its companion on the board, is pure strategy.

Product details

Size: 50 x 50 x 3 cm

Material: Beech wood

Design: Braid pattern and Mount Ararat outline

Finish: Varnished

Hardware: Cast bronze hinges and locks; cast bronze letters and numbers

Weight: 4 kg (5.5 kg packed)

Brand: Hrachya Ohanyan

Model: 31123

What's included

32 chess pieces and 32 backgammon checkers in beech and walnut wood, each with a velvet-lined base

Dice made from billiard balls

Branded carry case with wooden handle

Every set is completely handcrafted and comes with a 25-year guarantee certificate.
