An ornamental braid is engraved at the centre; the design also has a rosette, which gives the set its name, and golden scrolls in the corners.

The braid comes from Armenian ornamental patterns, a tradition in which motifs, types and forms vary widely. The reverse of the board holds a second game, draughts, for anyone who tires of the dice. Kept on a living-room shelf, the set is ready for a quick game after dinner or a longer one at the weekend.

Product details

Size: 50 x 50 x 3 cm

Material: Beech wood

Design: Rosette, ornamental braid, golden corner scrolls

Finish: Varnished

Hardware: Cast bronze hinges and locks

Weight: 4 kg (5.5 kg packed)

Brand: Hrachya Ohanyan

Model: 11974

What's included

32 playing pieces in beech and walnut wood, each with a velvet-lined base

Dice made from billiard balls

Branded carry case with wooden handle

Every set is completely handcrafted and comes with a 25-year guarantee certificate.
