Letters and numbers in cast bronze identify the files and ranks of the chessboard.

In Armenia, backgammon is commonly known as nardi, and the same field is used for its long and short forms. Thought of as one of the world’s oldest games, it is decided by quick thinking and accurate calculation as well as by the roll.
