Beech is a wood that takes a finish well. Patterns used in Armenian carpets are engraved on the board, and its chessboard is lettered and numbered in cast bronze.

The small format keeps both games within easy reach on a side table or a desk. Backgammon, among the oldest games we know of, rewards a flexible mind, sharp calculation of the moves ahead and fast decisions, while chess unfolds over sixty-four squares and owes nothing to luck.

Product details

Size: 30 x 30 x 3 cm

Material: Beech wood

Design: Armenian carpet patterns

Finish: Natural beeswax

Hardware: Cast bronze hinges and locks; cast bronze letters and numbers

Weight: 1.5 kg (2.5 kg packed)

Brand: Hrachya Ohanyan

Model: 31297

What's included

32 chess pieces and 32 backgammon checkers in beech and walnut wood, each with a velvet-lined base

Dice made from billiard balls

Branded carry case with wooden handle

Handcrafted from start to finish, each set is backed by a 25-year guarantee certificate.
